Fourth grade students conduct research on selected flowers in the outdoor classroom. After making qr codes on their chosen plants they will observe pollinators to see if the color qr codes affect the pollinators.
Scientific thought includes establishing a purpose, conducting research, stating a hypothesis, designing the procedure, measuring and collecting data then analyzing the results, and communicating findings. Scientific thought uses higher level thinking skills which is a required Next Generation Science Standard and is assessed on all fifth graders as part of FCAT 2.0.
